Feb. 27 (Mon) – Mar 5 (Sun) – Shadow Ridge RV Park, Ajo, AZ (6 nights). 520- 387-5055. Make your reservations as soon as possible, telling them you are with Cuatro Estados group. We’ll explore in and around Organ Pipe National Monument. And maybe a day trip down to Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point) in Mexico for shopping, beachexploring, and seafood. Step back in time at Ajo’s Historic Plaza and railway Depot. Gaze at Spanish Colonial Revival architecture in the downtown Historic District. Situated in the Arizona Upland Subdivision of the Sonoran Desert, the area is home to more than 1,000 species of plants and animals, many unique to the area. Crystal clear skies make star-gazing an art, or get even closer at Kit Peak National Observatory. View one of the largest open pit copper mines in the world and fascinating history at several museums.

Mar 5 (Sun) – Mar 11 (Sat) – FMCA International Convention, Rawhide Western Town & Event Center, Chandler, AZ (6 nights). Make your own reservations via FMCA. Sign up for “general parking” (no hookups) if you want to camp together. We will meet at the holding area at noon on the 5th and go in as a group. For those camping in Ajo, we can caravan together that morning. Let Rae know if you plan to attend and/or camp with us! Some of our members enjoy volunteering; they need tram drivers and seminar helpers. We’ll do some happy hours or potlucks within our own group as well as convention activities.

Mar 11 (Sat) – Mar 16 (Thurs) – Sunrise Resorts at Page Springs, Cornville, AZ (Sedona area). (5 nights) 928-634-4309. Make your own reservations, telling them you are with Cuatro Estados group. A beautiful campground in a quiet canyon south of Sedona, shaded by cottonwoods & sycamore trees along Oak Creek fed by natural springs flowing through the park, you can camp water’s edge if like. They have both full hookup sites and water/elec, plus dump station. We will, of course, do all the usual sightseeing around the spectacular Red Rock Country of the Sedona region, with opportunities for delightful hikes or jeep trails, check out amazing artists shops and studios, dine in a variety of restaurants, gaze at stars overhead at night, birdwatching Creekside at camp, and more. Join us for three weeks of new adventures!
